Thinking of Thailand

I had a dream last night about Phuket. It wasn't so much a dream as it was one long memory of the times I've been there. It was me walking around in all the places I've visited - markets, downtown, the beach - but without all the noise and traffic. There were no other people in the dream but me. It was the most peaceful I've felt in a long time, both in the dream and after. I wonder what makes those kinds of things happen.

  4. Well, if you're going to dream, Phuket, Maui, or Bali are the places to do it!

  5. I agree with Sizzle - at times of stress my dreams go back to one particular place: a wooden houseboat on Lake Nagin in Kashmir. The most peaceful time in my life. I wish I could just dial these dreams up on a whim. Maybe your psyche fancies a beach holiday next time after your European odyssey.
