You Weirdos

Hello, the Internet.

I've been thinking that maybe I killed lots and lots of puppies in a former life because karma has made me her bitch. I've taken time away from blogging because too many people I know read this son of a gun so I don't feel like I can truly be myself, and also because I've had so many little icky things happen and I've felt that to write about them would be to drag down the entire WWW. I know. It would all be rainbows and Skittles if I left well enough alone. (I'd like to thank my brief time in the Christian church for imbedding that lesson permanently into my brain. Don't forget, kids: Talking about something creates it.)

But frankly, I'm feeling a little desperate. And, I'm sorry, but you weirdos are kind of my people. So I'm going to try to push on and do a little blogging despite the aforementioned roadblocks. Apologies to the WWW.

So. Things to catch up on. There is a condo. It is in the middle of changing hands. There is still no kitty. There has been very little - almost no - surfing for months. The lack of story there is, of course, a story. There have been a few trips. There have been gentlemen. There have been a few difficult doctor appointments. There are, if you can imagine, dance lessons occurring. (And a very cute dance instructor.) There have been losses and gains and questions, many of them, and very few answers. I'm also determined to back-blog about a few events and trips just to have them on the record, on this record. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's just try to fill in a few of the gaps and catch up a bit.

Thanks for being my people. I'm glad you're here.

  1. The Internet says "Hi"

I think blogging is a great way to process the icky and desperate stuff. I find it more considered than what goes on Facebook.

Of course, I'm such a hypocrite for saying that because I haven't blogged in ages. I have achieved this through the ingenious tactic of not actually doing anything or having a life.

Which is a roundabout way of saying: Welcome back, I missed you.

  2. Welcome back! I've missed reading your blog, but I can relate. I haven't blogged in a long time either- not sure the reason why, just haven't. I hope all is well and again, congrats on the condo.
