A Sunday Away

Last weekend I took a 1/2 day off from work and went to Huis Ten B0sch. Huis Ten B0sch is a Dutch village on Kyushu Island in Japan complete with windmills and tulips. It's like a theme park (complete with the exorbitant entrance fee -- ¥4,000, almost $40.00) but without the rides. They sell good cheese and have miles and miles of walking trails that wind around poppies and tulips. It's quiet there and the weather was perfect -- it felt a million miles away from Japan, which I needed at the time.
