Remember what this place looked like on Monday? Ten inches of snow. Here's what it looks like around here today. It's 70° and I've been sitting in that chair worshiping the sun god all morning.
It's been a rough week. Yesterday I took off from work at 11:00 and went to Crapchester for my fourth tat removal appointment (ouch.) I've never had a car with a sunroof before, but my CR-V has one and I enjoyed it the whole way there and back. I ended up with a sunburn on my forehead.
The weather today reminds me of the quote that says, "Then, when it seems we will never smile again, life comes back . . ."
Sunburn on your forehead....I dont really know why but that makes me laugh. I am getting a visual of a girl with a big red stri[pe across her head. Next time douse your forehead in sunscren spf 30 at least !!
ReplyDeleteI got a sunburn on every part of my face except my forehead when I was in boot camp. Don't know why I thought of that, but I did.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote.
I am in total love with sunroofs. As much as possible. Just had it open in Portland yesterday. Those must be some seriously bad tattoos that you have to have them removed. Ouch.
ReplyDelete"Sunburn on my forehead makes me happy ... sunburn on my forehead makes me cry ..."
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm a dork.
Glad you got some good warm sun stuff today.
i luv how you were able to squeeze a reminder out of the day's weather.
ReplyDeleteok, now, remember to use sunscreen....
You know what makes me happy? The fact that I was not the first to think of that John Denver song when I read this post.
ReplyDeletesunburn
on my forehead
looks so looooooovelyyyy....
Okay, now I have to go to iTunes and buy that one.
Ah, the best thing about April snow is that it doesn't stick areound for long. Keep a tube of SPF 30 in the glove compartment for next time!
ReplyDeleteThat's a FABULOUS quote. I think my fave is when I find it on the card with the little girl...
ReplyDeleteIsn't it FUN to see the snow go away so quickly! love love love it!
Thank God for sunburns. Seriously. It's a sign of goodness on your face. Forget the spf from time to time.....
"Then, when it seems we will never smile again, life comes back . . ."
ReplyDeleteI'm going to keep that one close to my heart. Thank you for sharing it.
The contrast between the too photos is amazing. It's a bit like the quote but "Then, when you think the dark days will never come, out comes the sun".
I'm shaking my head at the contrast. I live in Sydney. We really only have two seasons.
Take care.
