As I was driving back from Seattle, a bunch of geese were crossing the highway around a corner and I had to slam on the brakes to avoid wiping them out. The geese never even blinked, though one of them did look up at me before they finished crossing. Turned out to be a happy delay... but just barely!
There's a "duck crossing" sign next to a crosswalk near a popular park in my beloved city. I swear to the baby Jesus, the ducks actually use the crosswalk--they don't just cross willy nilly. I've seen them waddle over to it and then shuffle across the street. Hilarious.
