I like to believe that if I had been alive in the 50's and 60's, I would have been on the front lines of the fight for civil right for black Americans. I hope I would have been on the right side of history. That's why. I was born in 1971, so I'll never know for sure. But this time, make no mistake.

I'm sick as a dog, so I only made it to the Prop H8 protest for about 20 or 30 minutes today. It was small, but important, and I was proud of my little city. Ten countries, 50 states, 300 cities.
