Just A Little

I rarely have been homesick since moving overseas, but lately I've felt just a little bit sick for home. Special events seem to make it a little worse, and today is special because it's my mom's b-day! However, I just end up thinking about my family and wishing I could be closer, (just a little), especially to celebrate big #57 with the Mom. The date difference just makes it worse -- I can't even call her on the 23rd, excited to wish her a happy birthday, because it's only the 22nd there. I have to wait until the 24th, so it will be the 23rd in the US, and really, what's so special about the 24th? Anyway, it will have to do for now. Happy birthday, Mom!
