Valentine's Day in Japan is a day for women to buy gifts for all of their male friends and boyfriends. In the weeks leading up to 2/14, there are chocolate stands set up everywhere to accommodate female shoppers. White Day, on 3/14, is the day for men to reciprocate and buy women gifts expressing affection. This is a display that I saw frequently in the weeks leading up to White Day. Yeah, they're aprons.
