I was mildly excited to run into
Philly D, of the
Philip DeFranco Nation, in Powell's the other day. So excited that when I noticed him I smacked him on the shoulder. Hard. Twice.
He told me I was the most assertive fan he'd met on his entire road trip. Oops.
(We all know how this goes. That ridiculous and unflattering picture of me will disappear very, very soon . . . )
Also, I had dinner with
GeekGirl and
IronFist last week after the David Sedaris reading. It was fun to hang with the cool kids. And I didn't hit either of them.
Goddammit, that picture of you is ADORABLE. Taking it down is l-a-m-e.
ReplyDeleteYou mean ... you mean, those people are ... real? And you are, too? Oh,my goodness.
ReplyDeletei love that meeting psuedo celebrities inspires violence in you. it would me too.
ReplyDeleteand don't take down the picture.
On top of being real, you're just as cute as a button. Now that I mention it, so is he.
ReplyDeleteCould have been worse- you could have licked them! ;-) JK.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you this weekend.
LSL, I think you're on the cusp of being an internet people yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou do realize that if I'd even know that Sedaris was in town, I'd have been more than happy to be smacked on the shoulder, or arse, by you, Iron Fist, and Geek Girl.
ReplyDeleteI would have been happy to have smacked A Lewis in the ass. AHEM.
ReplyDeleteHurrah! for meeting Vahid.
ReplyDeleteAnd it sounds like I might get to meet you this Friday in Seattle (?), which I'm admittedly pretty psyched about.
