Be an Ally & a Friend

GLAAD is looking for straight allies. How easy is it to stand up for treating everyone with dignity and respect?

Thanks, JMG. Count me in.

  1. Who can argue with that? But the message is somewhat vague... it would have been more effective to me if there was more content rather than just a teaser to go to a website.

  2. I know what you mean. I guess I was thinking of it differently - not everyone is an activist. I like to stand on the corner with a rainbow flag, but not everyone does. I think it's more about having people question themselves and identify/recognize themselves as allies than having them do something. People don't need to do anything. Just be accepting.

    Just a thought : )

  3. Good post/video, but I do have to agree with Neil. Thanks for posting this!!

Just wanted to say, I replied to this on my blog, but in case you don't get a chance to see it - please do feel free to do your own "I'm Just Going to Say It" post. I am trying to get more people to do it. If you do, could you just mention where it came from and encourage others to participate?! Thanks :)

  4. wow. At least they're not trying to boycott a country to get their point across, like some organisations are trying to do with Jamaica.

Peaceful and positive. That I can definitely support.

  5. I absotively support this. Content is relative in a 30-second commercial.

I see nothing but a positive message here. Thanks LSL. :)
